The latest exchange comes after Himanshi spoke about her relationship with Asim during Paras Chhabra’s podcast.
She didn’t name Asim directly, but when asked about reports that religion had played a role in their breakup, she said the subject was complicated and could easily become controversial.
Himanshi explained that Asim had never misbehaved with her. However, they had conversations about their beliefs, and she felt pressure to understand and accept his belief system.
For Himanshi, the issue eventually became deeply personal.
She said she began feeling as though she was moving away from her own faith and betraying her relationship with God. At one point, she recalled being told that she wouldn’t be allowed to do something related to her religious practice.
She chose not to reveal exactly what that was.
