GPSC preliminary exam schedule 2026: The Gujarat Public Service Commission has announced the schedule for preliminary examinations linked to 21 advertised posts, confirming subject-specific tests across multiple departments. The announcement follows an earlier notification placed on the Commission’s official website outlining a common examination framework.According to the notification, the preliminary tests for all listed posts will be conducted in a structured sequence, with each examination scheduled in the afternoon session between 03:00 and 05:00. The schedule covers a range of Class-1 and Class-2 posts across departments including agriculture, education, industries, engineering and civil services.Preliminary tests to begin with veterinary officer postsThe examination cycle will commence with three advertisements for Veterinary Officer, Class-2, across the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Cooperation Department, various municipalities, and the Forest and Environment Department. All three examinations are scheduled for May 30, 2026.This will be followed by examinations on June 16, 2026, for posts including Assistant Insurance Regulator and academic positions such as Lecturer of Geography and Assistant Professors in Geography and Forestry at government institutions.Academic and administrative posts scheduled through JuneFurther examinations will be held on June 23, 2026, covering posts such as Child Development Scheme Officer and multiple Assistant Professor roles in Science, Computer Science, Social Science and Mathematics within government colleges.On June 30, 2026, candidates will appear for posts including Assistant Regulator in the Industries and Mines Department and Assistant Professors in Automobile, Production and Mathematics disciplines at government engineering colleges.• Download the complete exam dates for all 21 posts Final phase to include technical lecturers and civil service postThe last phase of examinations is scheduled for July 4, 2026. This phase includes Lecturer posts in Architecture, Ceramic and Metallurgy subjects at government polytechnics, along with the post of Assistant Professor of Physics. The examination cycle will conclude with the preliminary test for Assistant Commissioner of Civil Service, Gujarat Civil Service, Class-1.The Commission has stated that candidates who have applied for more than one subject will have their marks from any one relevant subject examination considered for other subjects as applicable. A sample undertaking for such candidates will be made available on the Commission’s website when required.In cases where a Consent Deposit is sought from candidates applying for multiple subjects, the Commission clarified that such deposits will not be considered if the marks obtained in the relevant subject examination are not taken into account.
