Political commentator Steven “Destiny” had a pretty blunt reaction after Zack “Asmongold” spoke about possibly leaving Twitch. On August 22, 2026, Asmongold discussed his recent 14-day Twitch suspension and admitted he is now seriously thinking about streaming somewhere else if another ban happens. His comments came with a bigger question attached: how long does he actually want to stay on Twitch? Destiny looked at that possibility from a very different angle. According to him, Asmongold leaving would give Hasan “HasanAbi” an almost unmatched position on the platform. Destiny described the idea as “Hasan’s dream,” arguing that Hasan could have “sole reign” over the entire platform if Zack moved elsewhere. That comment quickly became one of the main talking points around the discussion.

Why Asmongold is considering another streaming platform

The whole thing started with Asmongold explaining how he felt about his latest suspension. He said he “doesn’t think what he said was bannable” and also believes he had not said anything wrong. But another suspension could change his plans. Asmongold said he is thinking about “moving over and streaming on another platform entirely” if Twitch bans him again. He also admitted that Twitch is still the biggest livestreaming platform and that many of his viewers prefer watching him there. That makes the decision less straightforward. He has streamed on Twitch for 10 years and said he is attached to the platform. He also said he likes and cares about Twitch, while accepting that things can eventually come to an end.

Destiny explains why Hasan could benefit from Asmongold leaving

Destiny’s reaction focused less on Asmongold’s suspension itself and more on what his departure could mean for Hasan.During his August 22 livestream, Destiny said that although Asmongold is “a terrible influence,” the thought of him leaving made him think about Hasan gaining control of the platform’s political space. His reaction was blunt: “It’s like Hasan’s dream!”The idea was simple. If Asmongold leaves Twitch, Destiny believes Hasan could end up with “sole reign” across the platform. That was the angle behind his reaction, rather than an argument about which alternative site Asmongold should choose.

Asmongold names Kick, Rumble and YouTube as options

Asmongold also mentioned several possible destinations. He pointed to Rumble, Kick and YouTube while discussing what could come after Twitch. He called the situation a case of “Grass is always greener on the other side.” Still, he acknowledged that each platform has its own complications. YouTube, for example, has “its own set of complications,” according to him.For now, though, Asmongold has not said that he is definitely leaving Twitch. His comments were about what he may do if another suspension happens. After the 14-day ban, he said he had to seriously consider the possibility, but also made it clear that he hopes things do not reach that point.
