The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for the Tier-II examination under the Direct Recruitment Quota (DRQ) 2026. The announcement comes after the declaration of the Tier-I results earlier this month, and shortlisted candidates will now appear for the next stage of the recruitment process.According to the official notice issued on March 6, 2026, the Tier-II examinations will be conducted on April 18, April 19 and April 26, 2026, across multiple sessions depending on the post applied for. Candidates who qualified in the Tier-I examination will be eligible to appear for this round.

The board has scheduled different exam slots for various administrative and academic posts. The detailed timetable is given below:
For candidates applying to certain academic roles such as Assistant Professor and Assistant Director (Academics, Training and Skill Education), the Tier-II examination will be conducted through a common paper, as the syllabus and difficulty level for these posts remain the same.
Admit card and exam centre details
CBSE has informed candidates that details related to the exam city, centre and admit card will be released through the candidates’ login on the recruitment portal. Applicants are advised to regularly check their login dashboard for updates and download the admit card once it becomes available.

The Tier-II examination is an important part of the selection process for the CBSE DRQ recruitment process. The candidates who clear this round will be considered for the further selection process.The candidates who have applied for the examination must go through the syllabus, pattern, and guidelines provided in their hall tickets so that they do not face any last-minute problems on the day of the examination.
